My name is Paul McLerran. I hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology, obtained from Brigham Young University, and am currently working on a degree in English education at Utah Valley University. My career goal is to become a high school English teacher and, eventually, teach a Psychology class as well. Between my two enrollments I was a Psychiatric Technician on a youth unit of a psychiatric hospital. This and my volunteer work for the Safety Net Mentor program help to qualify me as someone who can work with youth, especially particularly difficult, behavior-challenged youth. My interest in being a tutor derives from my interest in becoming a teacher as well as my reasons for it--I love kids, I love teaching, and I'm excited about the opportunity tutoring offers in these areas as well as the potential experience.
