Experience
I'm currently attending Brigham Young University for my bachelor's degree in biophysics. I'm also pursuing a French minor. I've had the opportunity to live in France, and I love the language. I'm looking forward to pursuing a doctoral degree in physics and becoming a professor. As a teacher, I've had many different experiences. I've taught wilderness medicine to physicians in the Netherlands, taught health and hygiene to Kenyan villagers, coached a high school water polo team, and volunteered as a teacher's assistant at the elementary school level. I to work with students of all ages, and I enjoy helping students identify and take advantage of their learning style. I have five years of experience working individually with college and high school level students in subjects like math, biology, chemistry, French, physics, and preparation for the ACT. My students have been very successful under my tutelage. I've seen many students improve their grade by two levels, I recently had a student who improve their score on the ACT by four points. Along with immediate results, I also focus on helping students become independent learners and build confidence in their ability to learn successfully. I'm dedicated to help my students reach their goals, and I will do whatever it takes to help them. My interests outside of economics include music, sports, biking, hiking, travel, swimming, and water polo.
