I am presenting my work on a Cheatgrass montane population genetics study I am performing at the Plant and Animal Genome Conference in San Diego this coming January. I will be publishing on this project this coming winter semester. I spent this last summer as an intern researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology in Jena, Germany. There I did bot greenhouse and laboratory work that will be published in two papers concerning wild tobacco and its interactions with its insect herbivores. I am currently interviewing at several quality graduate programs for a position as a student seeking my PhD in their genetics, genomics and molecular biology programs. I have played the piano since I was 8 years old and took 8 years of lessons including lessons from Prof Ralph Vanderbeek who at the time taught at Utah State University. I have sung in the Brigham Young University Men's Chorus for 6 semesters. I taught Finnish for two years at a missionary training center for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
