Brigham Young University - Provo graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. Graduated with a Overall GPA of 3.8 in Apri 2010.
Experience
I have had a lot of teaching experience. I volunteered in the public schools tutoring with a program called TOPS in Utah Valley. I taught while serving an LDS mission to Malaysia and Singapore and at the Missionary Training Center for 2 years. During my schooling I completed 2 practicums (1 month periods in a classrooms teaching and aiding students) experiences and student teaching. I currently work as an overload technician (teaching 1-on-1 or in small or large groups) in an elementary school working with kindergarton, 3rd and 4th grade. I want to be a tutor because I really enjoy getting to work with students of many ages and figure out how to help them understand new or difficult subjects for them to grasp. Learning is fun to me and I want others to get excited about learning as well. I am patient and believe that teaching needs to be adapted to individuals needs. I know how important it is for students to feel successful in their learning and to learn to succeed.
