I am a pre-communications major, with an emphasis in public relations at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I am scheduled to graduate in 2022.

Experience

I served an 18 month service mission in Barcelona, Spain from January 2019 to July 2020. During this period of time, I was able to study not just from a book and dictionary, but I also saw the value of asking questions to the right people and repeating what a native Spanish-speaker says so as to perfect my speaking and understanding abilities. I believe that is extremely important when teaching anything -- appropriate immersion and the right amount of passion. I used to be a declared English major at BYU and I really love grammar, language, and the culture that surrounds it. I hope to learn another language someday, possibly French or even Russian!

I have four siblings, all of which are younger than me! I love teaching and interacting with children, as they remind me of my own family. If I could only speak Spanish for the rest of my life, I would! I love teaching according to comprehension level but I will have no trouble pushing my students to go above and beyond! I have lived overseas my whole life -- I am from Northern Virginia but I consider myself solely American. I cherish the memories that I made in Brazil, India, and Kazakhstan. Attending many schools over my lifetime has taught me to be patient, to never underappreciate hard work, and to love everyone that may be introduced to me. I have worked in an office environment and in the food industry, but I thoroughly enjoyed working at Classic Fun Center Skating Rink in Orem. Some of my goals are to learn how to skateboard, go camping and take roadtrips as much as possible, and to work for the LDS Humanitarian organization someday. I hope to be of help to you or your family member and already look forward to meeting you!
