Experience
I believe that the ability to learn dictates the success of a student. This is why I focus on helping students embrace learning as a tutor. I'm currently attending Brigham Young University for my undergraduate degree in business, so I know what students are going through when they struggle with difficult subjects or have an instructor whose lectures don't connect well with them in the classroom. I prioritize helping students find interest in the subjects we study together, because I believe that if students are enjoying learning then they will more easily understand and retain information. I experienced this phenomenon when I spent two years in South America. I found that I was able to learn Spanish better when I was able to make learning fun. I love teaching Spanish because I think there's a great value in language learning. Knowing a new language opens up opportunities to communicate with and understand people from other parts of the world. I also like tutoring accounting, business, economics, marketing, algebra, and pre-algebra. My goal is that I can find enjoyable and fun ways for each of my students to learn through my tutelage. When I have free time, I enjoy football, playing the guitar, basketball, wakeboarding, scouting, track and field, hiking, biking, kayaking, and other various outdoor activities.
