I am a senior mathematics and math education double major at Brigham Young University.
Experience
I have tutored high school and college-level students in mathematics in the past, and look forward to helping more students recognize their potential in mathematics and find comfort and confidence in the subject. I received a 5 on the AP Calculus AB test and an A in a dual credit Calculus 2 class in high school, along with a composite 35 on the ACT and 2310 on the SAT; have been awarded full-ride and other academic scholarships; and have taken college math courses ranging from calculus to graduate-level topology. I have worked in the BYU math and math education departments for about 3 years, including as an honors calculus TA and in the role of writing a quantitative reasoning course.

Hobbies
Aside from my passion--math--I'm a newlywed with an avid love for writing and reading. I also enjoy Ultimate Frisbee, hiking, and a good milkshake. I love working with junior high and high school students, and believe that anyone can be good at math. Too often we think that we are born either good or bad at math, with no options to change. But when a student is given confidence in mathematics, along with ways to see math in the real world, they will be able to succeed. No matter the level of mathematics, I hope to help students not only believe they can understand it, but help them actually reach it!
